「嘘つき」
熱のこもったシンバルの4カウントで始まる「嘘つき」は、VELTPUNCHの十八番である長沼秀典と荒川慎一郎による2000年代エモ直系なツインギターの絡み、ナカジマアイコと浅間直紀によるエッジの効いたハードコアなリズムを用いつつ、グランジ色強めのヘヴィな曲調が印象的な仕上がりで、タイトル通りの「嘘つき」をテーマにしたささくれだった歌詞とアレンジがよくマッチしている。中盤の間奏からは楽しげなクラップ（90年代ロックのリスナーであれば、ASHの「Kung Fu」を思い出す人もいるかも）と「Oi！」の掛け声が入り、ベースソロからギターソロへと展開していくスリリングな流れは、ライブにおける新たなハイライトを作り出すに違いない。

チョーキングによるイントロがMy Bloody Valentineを連想させる「17歳」は、VELTPUNCH最大の特徴である長沼秀典とナカジマアイコの男女ツインボーカル（これもある意味マイブラ的）をフィーチャーしたミドルチューン。〈I’ll never hate your cheap rock〉〈本当はヒーローだって 尊敬や共感よりも金銭報酬切望してんの〉といった強い音楽愛とシニカルさが入り混じった歌詞は実に長沼らしく、ラストに聴くことのできる〈最低！〉という渾身のシャウトは、名曲「killer smile」の〈音楽だって必要ねーよ。〉にも通じるものがある。今もVELTPUNCHがティーンエイジのハートを胸に抱き続け、だからこそ若手からリスペクトされていることを象徴する、胸熱な一曲。

The final, heartfelt shout of "Worst!" resonates with a similar energy to the iconic line ""I don't even need music" from their classic "Killer Smile."
